The G603 mouse also integrates Logitech’s HERO (high efficiency rated optical) sensor with a sensibility of 12,000 DPI that allows speeds of 400 inches per second at up to 40 G acceleration. While the Lightspeed connection provides 1 ms polling rates in demanding games, Logitech’s software allows users to reduce the polling rate to 8 ms for non-gaming activities, in order to preserve energy. Logitech is now expanding the Lightspeed family with the more affordable G603 wireless mouse. The Swiss company already released two mice with the Lightspeed technology – the G703 and the G903, but these are dedicated to professional gamers, with prices over US$100. A few days ago Logitech was announcing the first wireless keyboard to use the improved Lightspeed connection that delivers 1 ms input lag.
